Client Type: Digital marketing, small business
What the Client Needed
The owner of this company wanted a long-form article that gave an in-depth explanation of content marketing and its benefits to small business owners. The article needed to be written following a strict brand guide re: its voice and style because it would be published under the client’s byline. It also needed to be well-researched to support the information given.
My Role on the Project
I was in charge of outlining, researching, and ghostwriting this article, as well as finding or creating graphics to be used within it. I needed to review the notes the client compiled on this topic and use that as a jumping off point to research and create the finished product. In total, it took about 6 hours of research and the final article came in at about 1,600 words.
My Approach to This Project
For this project, I first reviewed the client’s notes to better understand this clients’ position on this topic and what he wanted to say about it. Then I gathered supporting evidence for his position while drafting the outline. Once I had all the information I needed, I wrote the article.
To do this, I had to pay particular attention to the client’s natural writing and speaking style by reviewing other content and familiarizing myself with his company’s brand guide to ensure my article supported his digital marketing efforts.

Final Outcome of the Project
This article was developed as a long-form piece requiring in-depth research and close adherence to an established brand voice. I’ve included it here as a representative sample of my ability to structure complex material, conduct subject-specific research, and write in another author’s voice to support a defined editorial style.
